Love Story

It was raining so sharply at the mid night. Each of the raindrops could have felt kissing the body owing to the holesin old cloths wearing by Carter while walking drunk towards his hut. Heard baby crying from his hut. As reached, finds a baby in a white cotton piece of cloth.

Carter takes the baby in hands, looks at it with a surprising glance, and the baby goes with a fascinating smile at Carter and a smile in reply to the baby by Carter. Carter keeps the baby at the place with peace and comes out of the hut in search of someone to take care of the baby. He finds no one in the street and goes back into the hut.

After a while, looking at the baby, Carter said, “You are a falcon for me, as you look like a falcon, and from now onward, you will be called Falcon. After having said this, Carter sees a piece of paper hanging around the baby’s neck, opens it, and begins reading,

“I believe in my words more than myself,” I will get you one day”, you will find me one day”.

“You would be anger at me”, I would be happy at you”

“You would be a strong, young one; I would be a week-old one.

“My motherhood would give you a voice to hug me”, and your childhood would force you to run at me”.

“As I believe in my words more than myself”.

“You would have to have questioning my heart, “I would have the reasoning on the distances”

“You would be drenched in complaints to me” and my motherhood would defend your complaints”.

“As I believe in my words more than myself”.

Carter’s eyes poured in tears and understood the falcon’s mother’s helplessness leaving her innocent flower in his hut. Carter looked at falcon sympathetically and said,” I kept falcon name on you just because you looked like falcon but in fact you are going to be falcon now and this is my promise to you, and you must be angry too, let me arrange your needs.

Henceforth you are my son and I am your dad. Carter wrapped falcon in the same cloth and went out for falcon’s milk and other needs. Carter never had been drunk and Loafer, he was a professional engineer and served in well renownedcompany with great sincerity for years but was expelled due to the irregular allegation ofcorruption and responsible for the company’s defame in business community.

He wasn’t supported by anyone, no one wittinesshis sincerity, devotion to the company, was not even by Catty a girl friend to Carter. Catty was a young, beautiful lady and was in love with Carter.

She was the only child of her parents. Her parents were poor enough. Her mom passed away when she was only five years old. Her Father was an iron smith, used to do small particle works to meet the needs, and educated, Catty at a nice school. As she educated, found a job opportunity in the same company where Carter already served , or to fall in soto fall in me years.

Catty was assigned to work with Carter, and that was their first meeting ,which caused both of them to fall in love at first sight. Catty’s father those days was diagnosed with blood cancer and she was not financially strong to carry on her father’s treatment. In order to meet Father’s treatment expenditures,she started taking loans from the company and kept the matter as a secret between her boss and her.  She never opened her father’s disease secret on her love Carter.

Anyways, Carter came to the general store for Falcon’s milk and needs he glanced at the birth day cards and smiled with himself as it was Catty’s birth day either. He remembered the promises made between both. As he came out of store after having bought things for falcon he started addressing to Catty on her disloyalty to him,

“I thought of you today, as it’s your birthday,

“Though I don’t haveany right to say, yet wish you very happy birthday “.

Carter now has a very happy time with Falcon. Does every possible for Falcon. With the passage of time as Falcon grew up Carter concentrated on Falcon’s education. SimultaneouslyCarter played a role as a father and teacher. Carter wanted Falcon to be a lawyer and to make this dream true he worked harder to meet the Falcon’s studies expenditure.Falcon always eagerlywaited at hut for his father Carter’s returning from work. When he would see his father (Carter) drenched in sweat due to labor he sounded like weeping. When Carter would see Falcon in the weeping situation, he always advised Falcon, “Father’s duty is to work for his children, to bear their needs expenditure, to educate his children highly enough and these are things which satisfy Father’s soul, heart,and when they get old then sons have to do all for fathers. It is the world here human has to live like it. Falcon promises Father (Carter) for the dreams he had seen for falcon to be a great lawyer. Falcon after a while says to his fatherthat since very long while you were on work or elsewhere till date one lady met him on different excuses at hut, school and college. And always pampered on my head and prayed for me. I many times asked her who she was. And she replies “A Day is ahead”

Carter was listening Falcon with great concentration, “What else she says and asks you?” Carter asked.

“That how is your father, and what are you to be in future?”, and I say, “Great, my father is very great, and I am studying law”. When I said this, she smiles with tearing eyes and says we also wanted our son to be a lawyer if to be then. “Who can she be “, asked falcon. Oh, uh how would I know,maybe sheis needy, or may be something else, anyways next time when she came across you find her real name, said Carter.

Carter got little worried about Falcon, and opened his old box in which he hides that piece of paper hanging around Falcon’s neck at the first night at the hut. All the night long Carter was in the depth of his thinking about Falcon’s getting away from him in this age. The fear of losing Falcon didn’t leave him asleep.

At the morning at breakfast Carter said to Falcon,” You are not going to meet the lady we talked about last night”. “But why,you asked me to know what she names”, Said Falcon. “But no more meetings with her and that is my order, Said Carter to Falcon.” Okay dad, please don’t get angry”, said falcon. Carter kissing Falcon forehead and leaving him for college.Carter for a while believed that the lady meet Falcon might know the relationship between Falcon and him? Least she tells Falcon about me, and our real relationship. This fear causes him to come to falcon school to know who the lady is eventually.

As Carter moves inside the Falcon’s college, he sees Falcon talking to the any lady whose back is at Carter and due to some big distance, it is hard for Carter to recognize or know the lady. Falcon was trying to go from her as if he remembered dad’s promise not to meet her again, but the lady was trying to insist on talking to Falcon. Somehow, Falcon found escape from her to his class. The lady remains standing at the same place and sound like weeping with herself. All such views were being observed by Carter and being taken him into helplessness, frustration, deprivation and losing of Falcon may God Forbid!After a while when Carter looked for the lady, she was not there as if had gone.

Carter walked slowly thinking over the situation suddenly is given a voice by someone. Carter stood stunned as he knew whose voice it was, “CATY! Catty, he spoke with himself and turned around. He finds Cattyin real in front of him now; this surprise couldn’t help both smiling with tears in eyes at each other.

They both came nearer yet couldn’t hug each other due to meeting after a long time and breakup

Catty: So, How are you?

Carter: fine. I mean good.

Catty: It sounds pleasure to have seen you again after decades.

Carter: yeah, it really is. So, where have you been? I mean, have been in the same city or elsewhere?

Catty: uh! Depended upon time.

Carter: okay.

Catty: where did you go after having left first company? I mean must have worked in some company.

Carter: didn’t go anywhere, rather bar.

Catty: Bar? You worked there?

Carter: No, for, for drink, sorry to say.

Catty: you never drinkbefore sofar, I remembered, but you now?

Carter: One has to drink, when one has got no reason to livesthen is to go to such places. Anyways, how about my ex-boss and your husband?

“Catty: didn’t answer but just gestured “

Catty: So what you doing here in this college?

Carter: Just as it is, just wanted to see here students merely, and you?

Catty: I was here to see my friend. (Catty pretends as she saw Carter while she was talking to Falcon).

So, I am to go, it has been fantastic to meet you after years. And you didn’t change you are as you used to be!

Carter: with smiling at Catty, you gone old that is way you couldn’t recognize me.

Catty: Hmmm, I agree, so I hope the time will get us meet again with different dimension.

Carter: I didn’t understand, different dimension?

Catty: OK, bye for now.

Catty goes away and Carter remains at same place. All the meeting between Carter and Catty was being seen by the Falcon from the class room window. Falcon also started thinking about both of them and relating the still unknown happening with him. He thought that it couldn’t be coincidence! The lady trying to meet him and Dad advise him not to meet her. What is the matter actually? How dad knows her and so does she?

Falcon was in the depth of such thinking, suddenly class teacher addressed him if he understood what she said to the class.  Falcon just at once said OK teacher I am ready to show you, my assignment. The entire class laughed at Falcon including his teacher. The teacher said, I am telling that the day after tomorrow your final exams would commence. And after exam you will have to wait only for a week to result. And if passed, then you will be sent by the college management for practice with seniors’ lawyer. And after having law practice up to three months after that each one of you would be assigned one case at court to fight for someone and the choice will be yours too and then you would be issued law degree and then you all will be called lawyers.So, for now the classes is dismissed and go home for the best preparation for the exams.

After the class dismissal Falcon straight canes to his dad at the college campus,

Falcon: Dad, what you doing here in my college?

Carter:Well, my son, can’t I come here?

Falcon: pretending, no, I mean you are always well come but it has been the last class to the final semester.

Carter: Well son I have a wish to have a cup of coffee at café with you. Your Dad is poor but not that miser.

Both father and son laugh and move for coffee café, but which café dad? Falcon asked. My favorite once I used to come along with someone. Today after years going with my son Falcon (and he hugs his son falcon).

At Café Falcon was still thinking about his father and that lady’s relation but couldn’t ask his father.

Carter:so son you were telling me something about your study last class of last semester?

Falcon: yeah dad, it was the last class today, and the day after tomorrow our exams will commence.

And if I passed with great grade,they will be sent to any senior lawyer for practice up to three months and then I will be assigned any court case to fight at court of my own choice.

Carter: wow! It’s so great news, the day you will be fighting your first case would be my entire life remuneration, I wish you all the best my son, common hurry up finishes your coffee and let’s go home as you have a very little time to study.

After having had coffee carter pays off the bill and both father and son move towards hut (home). While going home falcon asked dad in case, I was assigned any court case will you allow me to fight for any one

No matter for you or against you!

Carter: Son, I don’t have any court case, yet if that case meant to deprive me of you forever I would still better you allow, as I know, you know, you are my son before to fight the case or after the case you will remain my son. Anything for you dear son. Carter leaves Falcon at hut and he goes to bar. In the bar while having drink he started thinking of Catty’s last answered ingesture on her husband and his ex-boss. Least Catty is unhappy with stupid ex-boss. No,no,no it can’t be I am mistaken on her, says with himself and leave the bar.

As Carter comes near hut, he sees Catty’s coming out of his hut, Carter stands stunned least she met Falcon and talkedabout her and his old relationship.  How she knows I live here? What the hell is she doing to me, once she ruined my life and now, she is after my son?Carter moves quickly after Catty and stopped her on way.

Carter: Cattywhat are you doing here?

Catty: you are drunk Carter! Better we meet next time, let me go for now.

Carter: Yes, I am drunk but not fully intoxicated not to recognize who comes out of my home (hut). Carter saying with tough holding Catty’s hand.

Catty: Yes, I went into your hut to meet falcon.

Carter: are you the one who often met falcon at his college?

Catty: yes, it was me.

Carter: why do you meet my son? He is my son. Only mine.

Catty: He is my son too, I am his mother,23 years back it was me who left him here at yours this hut in white cotton cloth and piece of paper hanged in his neck.

As carter heard he gets stunned and fells down on earth due to shock. Falcon was standing and watching all the gossips between his father and so-called lady mom and ran towards his father to save him from any injury while falling on earth. Carter looks at the falcon and gets another shock he understood that falcon has heard all what took place between Catty and him. Falcon tries to lift up his father and start walking towards hut the lady Catty also gave hand to help falcon in taking up the carter to hut. But Falcon stopped her from doing it so.Falcon brings his father at hut and makes him lay down to manage his father ‘health. He rubs his father hands and feet. Carter in the shocking conditions goes asleep.

Catty is also standing at hut, she addresses to Falcon,

Catty: Falcon, look son, I am your mom.

Falcon: you can’t be my mom; my dad is not only my dad but he always proved to be my mom too.

Since I started recognizing things my eyes only saw the face of my father, this father who is in this situation is because of you. (falcon all says in crying tune)

Catty: but son, the fact is that I am your mom. Not only you but Carter also doesn’t know what really happened in back of those days.

Falcon: I am not interested in what you saying nor have any interest in you, and please go from here. Just go away.

Cattygoes crying out of hut.

At morning when Carter comes into consciousness, he sees falcon sleeping in the chair along with his bed.

Falcon hears the voice and wake up.  How you are feeling dad, Falcon asked.

Carter: nice son, (and looks at falcon with tearing eyes)

Falcon: let me get you some hot milk so that you may get some energy.

Carter: No, no, there is no need of it I am okay. See, nothing is wrong with me as always (said while crying)

Sorry son for the last night happening, I am really sorry.

Falcon:there is no need of sorry between us;nothing is wrong, see your son falcon is with you here.

Carter hugs falcon and Cry. Falcon asks carter,

Falcon: dad who that lady is?

Carter:oh my son please no questions now, I will tell you all after your exams and practice till you promise me we will not discuss her, please promise me son.

Falcon: okay dad, I promise, I promise.

Carter makes falcon to concentrate on his studies and he moves for his work with half heart.

Falcon after having taken exam has qualified for practice with senior lawyer at court as per procedural of the College management.  During those days Catty meets Carter many times for claiming of her son Falcon.

Carter insists on her about falcon belongs to him only. Catty understand that Carter will not assign falcon to her thatis way she decided for a Sue at Court.  After two and half month Carter receives letter from Catty’s lawyer for court summon. While Carter was reading letter there is Falcon back home (hut) from the practice. He sees his father Carter worried and holds a letter in hands.

Falcon: Hi, dad.

Carter: oh, hi my dear son, how are you? Came back from practice, how it had been?

Falcon: I’m fine dad, and the practice has been too good, now just have to get case to fight in order to claim law degree. What is in your hand’s dad?

Carter: Son, now according to my promise with you, I am going to tell you something about us both and that lady too. But you have to promise me, will not quite me ever?

Falcon: I promise you dear dad.

Carter: with taking big breath says this letter is from Catty’slawyer she has called me in court over yoursclaiming. Your dad will be in the court for the no crime he has committed.Long ago I was working in Awpkd Company and it used to be a wellrenowned company. I was serving there as a senior engineer in the engineering department. One day one beautiful and young lady is appointed at my department. My company boss came with her to the engineering department and introduced her to me and directed me to assign her cabin and work.

She sounded too good to me and my heart, and felt like having fallen in love with her at first sight. The same situation was with her too, but due to new comers to each other’s couldn’t talk openly. With passage of time, we came closer to each other and one day we both claimed having fallen in love to each other.

I never hided anything from her about myself, as she was the only one now,I could trust. She never liked tell me anything besides that she loves me. It was a statement from her that I couldn’t say anything to her. But I was noticing her taking personal loans with interest from the company’s boss. When I asked her about her taking loan purpose she used to change the topic dramatically. But I always insisted you her to tell if she needs any financial support but she had the attitude of changing the topic. And one when at morning I came to office She looked very happy and shown me Company’s letter of her promotion and deputing as PS to Boss.  I was happy for her promotion but truly sad in heart of her becoming PS to Boss. As I knew my boss views over girls never been good. And Catty was my love how could I be happy for her being PS to Boss?

Anyways, she was asked for reporting at adman section and she gone. I voiced her,

“Catty I will be waiting for you on lunch at café”, okay fine I’ll be there,said she.

That day I was waiting for her but she didn’t come. It repeatedly started happening, but we used to meet after office and on holiday. But with passage of time our meetings at after office time and holidays started getting limited on behalf of her. And then one day, I was told by our company clerk about boss being so merciful on Cattywith respect to granting her loans over loans, so lucky she is! And today again she took loan.  I couldn’t help telling her, and went to see her in the head department. There I entered in her office room,

Catty: Carter you and here, well come.

Carter: what is wrong with you, you neither meet me after office time nor at any holidays?

Catty: Carter please it’s my office, don’t make me of joke like that.

Carter: I make of you Joke? You are to me?And by the way, after all what source of needs you have which don’t fill on too many loans you have claimed for?

Catty: please carter, this is none of your business, don’t interfere in my personal matters.

Carter: Personal Matter? Your personal matter! You know what you saying to me? We love each other’s, there are no secrets between us, we both are going to marry each other, and you say it’s your personal matter only.

Catty: please leave my room;go away from here for now, we will talk later on.

I went out of her room, the entire staff got known about us. I rushed to my department. I was in rage. During those daysour company work was also on peak. Same day I was asked to report to finance department. I went there and was assigned an order letter of boss to look after the finance position of the company in the absence of financial officer who suddenly got sick and admitted in hospital. And I was also ordered to place a tender for purchasing of some spare parts for the company.

I was still in the finance dept at financial officer room that suddenlyCatty appears. She talked in formal and in stranger’s way that this is the question on behalf of company, and you for now being as the in charge of financial matter, have to sign the quotation so that material bought and reached in time to our company.

I went through the quotation and looked quite expensively despite having no experimentand rate. I told Catty it will cast at loss for our company. But she said, you are the only employee of this company not a boss. It is the order of Boss to complete all the necessary documents and prepare a cheque for the payment.

I did all as told. Just after few days the same commodity reached in time and the payment through cheque was also realized. And the financial officer also joined duty after health recovery. I was on work at my own engineering department that boss called an emergency meeting at conference hall. As he arrived, he at once addressedme. My company has to suffer great loss because of your wrong preparation of wrong tender. You take salary from me and work for others. How much have you been bribed to reach loss to this company? How much commission you got by passing an expensive tender?

So, I was charged allegations, but Catty remained calm as if she didn’t know anything. Rather she had to support me in removing the allegations charged on me she said,

“You have to be so ashamed of yourself for yoursthese deeds;you have approved yourself as a lie, cheat, and corrupt person. I hate you, and forget me too.

Boss fired me from job at sharp that time. I suffered punishment for that sin I never committed. I had had a company apartment to live in, was also had quite and found this place for making days and night I built this hut. And I paid for the land owner too.

After few days I heard Catty married to the Boss. She went to her rich husband home and I joined the Bar for drinking. I spent much time in bar, whatever the saving I had started spending on drinking. One night when I came near hut, I heard you crying in my hut. I was so surprised that night I was drunk too.  I went out oh hut to see who you lived here, but I found no one. You were wrapped in white cotton cloth. As I took you in hands you gave me a beautiful smile at me. Your smiling started melting me. Then I found this piece of paper hanging in your neck. (Falcon takes the same paper and starts reading it)

You gave me a new hope to survive, gave me reason to live. As I understood you are as alone as me now, and the one who hanged this paper won’t come ever and I announced you were my Son, and I named you Falcon just because Catty and I also promised / planned if get first boy baby would keep Falcon name on it.

Falcon: am I not yourson? Your own blood?

Carter: No, but I grew you up like my own son.

Falcon: I know dad, but you never told me about myself. It means that lady is my mom! And who is my real father.

Carter: I don’t know son;you might be the son of my ex-boss whom Catty married to.

So, now she claims you too. Is to drag me into court of law. I don’t have any proof to prove you my own blood except grew you up like father.

Falcon: you are my dad; I don’t care of anyone. I don’t know anyone except you Dad. (Carter and falcon hugging each other) I will fight your case dad, (says falcon crying)

Next day falcon goes to college for submitting an application to fight a court case. He referredthe Catty’scourt summon date and no. And he also stated in the application that,” Being law student, it is my first law case. And I was made sign an agreement by you worthy the college management would allow me to fight any case at any place of my own choice, either at court of law, at college hall, or else which ever I would wish, would be respected. So,I Falcon Carter with an open-heartrequest you to allow me fight the first case at my home “Falcon’s Hut” and also against my mom”.

After some times, the university management consult the law department for permission of holding a summon at Falcon’s Hut.

The law department accepts the requests and finalizing the date of summon with reference to the Catty’s lawyer. And also sent copy for information to the Catty’slawyer and that is on May9th.

Falcon: My Lord! Today a new history is going to take place. In the history ever for the first time a son is fighting a law case against his mom. And the case dependence / base is Falcon’s future arrestment either to Falcon’s that dad who has not a blood relation but of humanitarian, time’s demand, and the right decision at the right time or to his mother of blood relation except born and let go /assign to someone who has not any blood relations with. My lord! In the world if every mom starts doing the same has Falcon’s mom did then people like you, like audience, my dear opponent lawyer, and like every Boys,girls, women, menand even like me the trust and believe in mom’s love would raise. In our human society the jobs of moms are merely born a child and then throw themanywhere they love to? So far, I understood the world,and the world’s relations have no reasons to be of own blood otherwise the institutions we human opened on humanitarian bases will also get false / bogus recognitions. Because in such institutions there are not any blood relations amongst the asylum’sseekers,their volunteer attendees and the ones who funding to such institutions to meet expenditure of those asylums seekers still we all support such institutions why?

My Lord! Should those children whose moms are no more in the world at their birth time, think that they might have been thrown at their fathers’ home like Falcon was thrown at the Falcon’s hut. This question will destroy the society setup. Fathers will run after their children and children will be running after their moms who arenot present due to the deaths have come to them. Dear Lord! You are also a father?

(Falcon has spoken, and given time to his opponent)

Catty’s Lawyer:  My lord! My dear opponent who is also the base of case and advocate of his nominal Father. He is no doubt a good kid but a good debater too. But the court doesn’t believe in emotional sentences rather logics. My Lord!

The fact is that my dear opponent is the real son of my client MsCity. She claims him and I believe Mr. Carter does know the fact either. Apart all of these the Good Court has the option of DNA test too, but if Mr. Carterhas the claim of Falcon his real son otherwise the case can be continued, my client and I will have no objections. Catty’s lawyer: So,are you Mr. Carter?

Carter: Yeah, I am.

Catty’s Lawyer: Do you really claim Falcon as your son?

Carter: Yes, I do, without any fear.

Catty’s lawyer: Mr. Carter the Law says in the property matters that, “The court is bond to assign the property to the real owner whoever is, whatever religion, cast he or she may belong too on biases of the logic and proof. So does with the falcon to his mom.

Falcon: if it wasn’t late, you could have got washed out of yours that child whom you claim in this court.

Catty: Uh! hmmm, ha, May Be!

Falcon: So,you were not mom that time, you were to kill a baby before it takes birth, but today when that kid remained live today you claim him.

Catty: he was out of town for few days on business meeting trips.

Catty: Mr. JD was the owner of the company we were working at. During those days my father was badly sick. He was suffering of blood cancer. I couldn’t help taking loans from the company’s boss. I tool loan over loan. And Mr. JD was interested in me too despite knowing I was in love with Carter. For him Carter was a big problem despite knowing him his professionalism. And he forced me either return my loan or help me kicking off Carter from the Company. He also promised me in continuing help in father’s treatment after Carter expelling from the company and marrying me. He arranged a plan to send his financial officer on leave with an excuse of being sick, and assigned Carter a dual responsibility of financial officer too. In that case he also planned had to buy some parts from other company with highly rate through Carter and I was made to get all done by Carter which caused him fired from the job. And I got greed to get rid of him to save and continue my father’s treatment high expenditure through my Boss ahead.

I broke up with him at right that time in front of office colleagues.  After he gone,I found him at his new place like hut he builds. “Well, it is really the first case in my career Mom v/s Son. If we didn’t do the just the history will not forgive us. This court believes in Acts, logics, proofs, and the right decision no matter whomeversomeone is, race, religion, nationality, “. In the courts the decisions can’t come in favor both of the parties. Either of the parties is to win.So, this court heard both of solicitors. It was a case in which no witness has been demanded from both of the sides. It is a great pleasure for me to have attended the listening at the Falcon ‘Hutrather in judiciaryjurisdiction.

Mrs.JD (Catty) though born Falcon yet she didn’t look after her child being as a mother. She could have sought the help of law with respect to her husband attitude towards her, but she preferred leaving her Child at Carter’s Hut (Falcon Hut) understanding, hoping and believing in Carter’s intention to her own husband’s home.  No law is to permit any momto throw or leave her child at any one’s door.

In the petition, one was to kill the Child before it he was born which was against the humanitarian and one the other hand one hugged the unknown child and grew him up which is the proof of humanitarian friendship.

Anyways, thus this court has decided the Falcon to be under the custody of Mr. Carterrather Mrs. JD on the bases of humanity sympathy and the choice of the child Falcon under the Law Act.

And this Curt also order to Mr. Carterwill not approve any obstacles between Falcon and Her Mom Miss Catty’s meetings anytime and anywhere.

The court is dismissed.

After the dismissal of Court, Catty comes near to Carter and congrats him on winning the case and moves quickly to run from the place.

“Mom,Mom, Catty was called by her son Falcon.Catty stops and turn to look at her son falcon eventually called her mom with smiling face. Falcon goes near to her and says,” May I hug you mom?

Both of Mother and son holding tight each other and weeping, then there comes near Carter to them.
